Bindii, also known as Onehunga and Jo-Jo is the most hated weed around the world due to it's sharp and painful prickles which form later in Spring. Kids, Adults and even pets can be seen barefoot hopping and skipping over lawns with pain on their faces when confronted with a lawn were the seed(prickle) has formed.

 

The good news is that Bindii is very easy to kill. One simple treatment will finish it off good and proper. HOWEVER, it MUST be done BEFORE the seed sets and the prickle forms. Once the seed is there then that's it. The best time to spray for Bindii is mid to late August through to late September. In Australia, if you haven't done it by the AFL Grand Final it could be too late.
